ShoppeGenie requires a web host with PHP 4.0 or higher and mySQL 3.23 or higher. You must be able to FTP files and change file permissions to use the system. The files themselves require about 1150 KB of space, minus the database. Below are the standard features included with every system:

• FAQ Creator - Lists frequently asked questions for your customers
• Site Map - Shows all the pages on the site, dynamically
• Site Search - Allows customers to search for pages by keyword
• Catalog Search - Optional advanced search page allows your customers to find specific products by keyword(s), category, and/or price range
• Error Page - Creates an automatic error page if a page is mistyped

Additional Features: The system also includes:

• A password protected administration area - the password is hashed and a user name included for added security
• Upload images right in the administration area - no FTP needed
• Page grouping allows you to set different page groups in different areas of the site
• Database backup is included in the administration area - no need to access phpMyAdmin.
• Files reside on your web site's server, so you're not dependent on other sites for your data, nor do you need to pay monthly or per-product fees

Requirements:

1. PHP 4+, mySQL, phpMyAdmin
2. Mal's account. If you have your own Merchant Account be sure it's listed and can be used with Mal's Shopping Cart. Check here: http://www.mals-e.com/processors.php
3. We will need temporary access to your site for installation. We will contact you once we receive your order to get the following info:
        Temporary FTP access
        Control panel access
   
4. ** The inventory control also requires the Mals-E Remote Call feature. Therefore, inventory control and sales storage through ShoppeGenie will not be automated on any web site that uses third party payment systems that do not utilize this feature, which include but are not limited to LinkPoint, Mirapay, Netbanx, Nochex, PayByCheck and PSIGate.
